What is a more important criteria for measuring friendship - some individual added to your social network (with membership likely manifested as inclusion in your social RSS) or concrete evidence of goodwill from that individual?
So....
A friend in feed or a friend in deed?

So...I heard this great comment at Defrag last year.
"Take a look at your friend's count on LinkedIn or Facebook. Now imagine - you die. How many of them will come to your funeral. That's how many friends you have. Rest are connections'.
Ashish, in deed, but both are equally valuable and useful 'after the fact'.
That's why I live by the motto
'Treat your friends today as if you were to die tomorrow (and get back all the stuff they borrowed from you now)'
