Overheard in the Privy Council in January 1587.

Unfortunately I have checked with the authorities and it seems that, although you are indeed Queen of England and your cousin Mary is not, nothing actually prevents her from claiming the virginqueen.gov.uk URI. Of possible interest, I've found a little known clause that suggests that, were the Queen of Scots to die, then the URI would pass to you as her heir. Of course, as her Majesty is a young woman in the prime of health, this is a highly unlikely scenario .......
